The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season begins in Florida from 18 to 20 March, launching another year of international one make racing powered by Hankook Ventus tyres.
The championship, organised by Automobili Lamborghini, features identical Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 race cars competing across North America, Europe and Asia. Hankook serves as the exclusive tyre supplier for the global series, supplying its ultra high performance Ventus racing tyres to every car on the grid.

For motorsport fans in New Zealand, the series highlights how racing technology continues to shape the development of high performance tyres used on the road.
Extreme performance supported by Hankook Ventus
Since 2023, Hankook Ventus racing tyres have supported the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, a purpose built race car capable of reaching speeds close to 300 kilometres per hour.
The Ventus tyre delivers the grip, handling stability and heat resistance required for high intensity circuit racing. These qualities remain critical in a championship where drivers compete in tightly packed grids and aggressive race conditions.
Across the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, Ventus tyres operate in a wide range of climates and track environments, from hot European circuits to demanding Asian venues. The tyre’s durability and consistency allow drivers to push hard throughout each race weekend.
Sebring International Raceway sets the challenge
The 2026 season opener takes place at Sebring International Raceway in Florida. The 6 kilometre circuit features 17 turns and one of the most distinctive layouts in global motorsport.
Built partly on the former Hendricks Field airport, the track combines traditional racing sections with runway and taxiway surfaces. Large areas of concrete place significant stress on tyres during high speed braking and cornering.
Sebring also presents additional challenges through rapidly changing track temperatures and intense sunlight. Concrete surfaces often become slippery during wet conditions, placing tyre performance and management at the centre of race strategy.
These demanding conditions provide the perfect testing ground for Hankook’s Ventus racing technology.
Global racing platform strengthens Hankook performance credentials
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship runs as three regional series in North America, Europe and Asia. Each series includes six rounds held across 10 countries during the eight month racing season.
The Asia series will include a Korean round at Inje Speedium from 17 to 19 July. At the end of the season, the top drivers from each regional championship compete in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Grand Final in Italy on 24 and 25 October.
Beyond the racing spectacle, the championship plays an important role in tyre development. Data gathered from motorsport competitions feeds directly into Hankook’s research and development programmes.
Technology tested at the limit on the track contributes to the performance of Hankook’s road tyre ranges, including high performance products used by drivers around the world.
Motorsport remains a core part of Hankook’s global strategy. The company supports more than 70 major international racing series, including the FIA World Rally Championship.
For performance focused drivers and enthusiasts across New Zealand, these partnerships demonstrate how competition continues to push tyre technology forward.
