  • Hankook reinforces its technological expertise as the exclusive tyre supplier across all WRC categories

The ueno Rally del Paraguay, Round 10 of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), will take place from 28 to 31 August on the fast gravel roads around Encarnación. Hankook Tire & Technology, a global leader under the Hankook & Company Group, will exclusively supply the event with the Dynapro R213.

This year marks Paraguay’s long-awaited debut in the WRC, making it the fourth South American nation to host a round after Argentina, Brazil and Chile. The rally spans 19 special stages and 335.22 competitive kilometres, featuring surfaces that shift between soft dirt and dense forest, with weather changes that can quickly transform conditions.

No crews have prior experience of Paraguay’s roads, which are expected to test drivers with rutted surfaces, steep climbs and high-speed sections. Dry conditions will produce heavy dust that reduces visibility, while sudden summer rain can reshape the stages in minutes. In these extremes, tyre consistency and stability will be essential in deciding the outcome.

For Rally Paraguay, Hankook is supplying the Dynapro R213, an extreme all-terrain rally tyre engineered for gravel. It delivers stable grip, precise handling at speed and strong durability against heavy impacts. Its wear resistance ensures reliability over long and demanding competitive stages.

Hankook’s performance was highlighted at the previous round, Secto Rally Finland, where the Dynapro R213 powered Toyota GAZOO Racing’s Kalle Rovanperä to a record average speed of 129.95 km/h, surpassing the previous best of 126.62 km/h. Toyota teammates Takamoto Katsuta and Sébastien Ogier completed a podium sweep, showing the decisive role of tyre strategy in the championship fight.

By supplying all WRC categories, Hankook continues to prove its leadership in global motorsport. The company’s focus on consistent performance and technical excellence reinforces its reputation as a premium brand known for innovation and reliability.
