Hankook headed to Finland for Round 10 of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship, with Secto Rally Finland taking place from 30 July to 2 August in Jyväskylä.
Known as the fastest gravel event on the WRC calendar, Rally Finland features average speeds above 120 km/h across high-speed forest roads, blind crests, tight corners and long airborne jumps.
First held in 1951, the rally is one of the championship’s most historic events. The 2026 edition covers 20 special stages and 316.04 kilometres of competitive driving.
The demanding stages place a strong focus on communication between driver and co-driver, precise steering response, consistent grip and tyre durability. With minimal room for error at high speed, tyre performance plays a key role throughout the rally.
As the exclusive tyre supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship, Hankook supplied the Dynapro R213 in Hard and Soft compounds for the event.
Developed with a high-strength casing and a precision tread design, the Dynapro R213 absorbs the heavy landing forces created by Finland’s jumps while delivering grip, steering stability and wear resistance across fast gravel surfaces.
At Secto Rally Finland in 2025, the Dynapro R213 helped Kalle Rovanperä achieve a WRC record average speed of 129.95 km/h. The tyre returned in 2026 to deliver consistent performance through sudden load changes and rapidly changing stage conditions.
Strong competition was expected across the leading teams. Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team entered Adrien Fourmaux, Thierry Neuville and Finnish driver Esapekka Lappi, the 2017 Rally Finland winner.

Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team treated the event as a home rally, with its team headquarters located three kilometres from the service park. The team entered five Rally1 cars, including Finnish driver Sami Pajari following his maiden WRC victory at Rally Estonia.
The rally also played an important role in the Drivers’ Championship battle, with Toyota’s leading drivers fighting for points across one of the season’s fastest and most demanding events.
Hankook supplies rally tyres across every WRC class and gathers performance data from the championship and around 70 global motorsport competitions. This information supports the ongoing development of Hankook’s high-performance road and motorsport tyre technology.
